cheddar & rosemary apple chips

I’m always on the look out for a good, yet healthy chip. Because who can just eat one chip? These have, by far, the most unique flavor combination I’ve ever had. Something else I recently heard of is apple pie with a cheddar crust! Must try!


With just three simply ingredients, you have a healthy and addicting snack. I feel like these are pretty enough to serve as an appetizer when entertaining too.


The mandolin definitely helps with the slicing. If you don’t have one, I highly recommend getting one. They’re inexpensive and make uniform, even slices every time.


The baking does take some time (lazy afternoon watching HGTV?), but it is well worth it!


cheddar & rosemary apple chips

makes about 4 cups chips


4 apples, thinly sliced (feel free to change up the type of apple you use!)
½ cup shredded sharp cheddar
2T fresh rosemary, minced

Preheat oven to 200°.
Thinly slice your apples using a mandolin (or if you’re quite skilled, by hand). Arrange apple slices, in one layer, on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake for one hour. After one hour, flip the apple slices and distribute the cheese and rosemary over the top.

Bake for another hour. Edges should be curly. After the last hour, take chips out of the oven and allow to sit for 10 minutes. The chips will harden up as they cool.
